I think I'm going quite extreme. In order to complete all the things I have on hand, I have resorted to allocating specific timeslots for all the tasks. Everything has become goal driven. I would have to say that the way I micromanage my time now is quite sick, but its super effective in getting things done. I procrastinate less than before.

Don't bid for Ang Moh profs. They're quite lazy. They don't like to set exam papers. They repeat their bloody questions. Easy paper will not differentiate the best from the rest. If you're smart enough, bid for tough profs who set difficult exam papers. Only the good ones will prevail. The losers will just rot and die.

07 has been a great year.

Early this year, I officially left National Service. 2SIR was the best infantry unit for 06/07 year. I'll always miss Charlie Coy

Moving on, I worked for close to half a year at St James Power Station and met plenty of great people like Bernard, Azmi, Omar, Zack, Vincent, Tidus, Hogan, Edward, Shah, Roslan, Patrick, Kelly, Christina, Aladdin and the list goes on. And of course, my fantastic customers in St James like Leo, Auntie Mary, Mr Lim, Chris blah blah

Times flies and its time for Uni Life. I'm quite sick. Honestly I can't wait to go school and meet new people and make more friends. Out from the system for 2 years or so, you're back again fresh and recharged.

My first camp in SMU marked a spectacular start to uni life. The almighty transformers swept away 2 of the 2nd prizes. Haha. Unforgettable. Priscilla, Kesh, Crystal, Esther, Eugene, Desmond, Derrick and Jasper became the fabulous 8. Amazingly, all of us are still quite close. Not forgetting Shi qi. You're not in the same sports camp group as I do, but somehow you also became one of the first few people I got to know. I still miss your hazelnut drink =p

FTB was great too. Ingrid, Amelia, Matt, Wayne and Amanda. This is the group that wants to meet up but always fail to. Oh yeah, today we had our very first outing. Suddenly, I found 3 very good makan buddies. Amelia, Matt and Wayne. Lets take on the food in Holland Village when school starts! I'll blog about our crazy makan session soon.

My SMUX group was fantastic as well. A really crazy and enthusiastic bunch of people. Weiyang, Yee Heng, Timothy, Yi Zhuang, Pei Hua, Priscillia, Hazel, Sherilyn and Jieying. This is the group thats always on estacy. I can always count on them to do the most ridiculous and funniest of stuff.

All my project groups mates are great as well. Special mention has to go to my beloved biz law group. Yingying, Yanling, Sheryl, Victor and Samuel. Hey!!! Where's da outing. I miss you people. Boss Gan, you still owe us a treat.

Of course, my most memorable moment has to be from my CT group. Some crazy ass protest in SMU. Weeks after the protest, the protest boards can still be found in the school library. LOL

School life had been very fun and enriching. Stressful it may be, but I love it. Haha.

New friendships are forged. But I'll never forget all of my buddies from 6J, 2B, 4k, that few of you from NJ and the badminton team. Among you people, there are always these special ones whom I have known since god knows when. I may not have spent much time with all of ya, but please don't erase my name from your memories =p.

I hereby wish each and everyone of you an amazing and spectacular 08!

Lets see. What do I want for 08? Very simple. I just need to meet more nice people and I want to have that little bit of Love, Care, Concern and Attention. Very simple. Live that happy life and live it to the fullest! Last but not least, do more interesting and weird stuff. Haha.

Its been quite a long time since we met up. I was glad that the gathering materialized, but was somewhat disappointed by the turn up. I was hoping to see some exotic faces. First Blog Post after Exams

First Movie

I know a lot of you are disappointed that I did not update my blog. Haha. It can't be help. I am booked for the past few days all the way until the end of the 2nd week of December.

Anyway the first thing I did was to watch the Movie Enchanted. Its been a long time since I watched a movie and at LIDO. A very sweet and beautiful movie. I should have watched it with my friends!!! Oh yes, I am so weird. Most of you should know that I watch movies alone. Haha. Whoever has got boyfriend/girlfriend, please bring them to watch it. Or if you lack love in your life, watch it as well.

This biking trip nearly "killed" me. The wind was so strong that my bicycle could not move forward on a straight road; I need to peddle down a slope and I can run faster up the slope than cycling. I overestimated my physical abilities. I should have rest my legs after 4 days of running before this trip.

My group is a superstar team. We're always the first to reach despite the fact that we're the last to move out. We're also the greediest. We ate the most at the seafood resturant. We have the most number of 'trigger' happy people.

I had a smashing end to the last day of my first term in SMU. I broke 2 rules yesterday.

Firstly, I smuggled Rhoda into SMU library
Secondly, I staged a protest in SMU library

Gawd, it was freaking exciting. The library authorities got wind of the event 2 hrs prior to the protest. 30 mins before the protest, I met up with the authorities to negotiate.

"Whether you give us clearance or not, we don't care. We'll still carry out the protest..." Wahaha, I am such a rebellious kid.

Anyway, the gorgeous library research head Charlotte managed to get clearance for us in such a short period of time. -_-". Although clearance was given, security was still activated to crush us.

Ha, I love SMU. Its the only place where you can do all these nonsense without getting into trouble.

Nothing is really happening. There's really nothing significant I can blog. Most of the time, I am very passive. I don't really want to make things happen. Some things just cannot afford to happen.

Its really depressing to talk to most of my friends these days. All that we can talk about is project, homework, deadlines and what to mug. Their sadness, anguish and hatred are gradually infecting me like a flu bug. Sometimes you just really don't know what to tell them. Take it easy...chill...blah blah blah. As a friend, you feel damn helpless. Conversational topics run dry... This is really pathetic. Perhaps its because I sucked. Lets go for a meal, movie etc...who cares... nobody has got the time for any activities. Everybody's literally dying of the SMUgging plague...

Thats why I feel much better looking out into the sky than to look at people. I'm weird. I deliberately positioned a table next to the windows in the library for this purpose.

Its more fun talking to course mates or project mates. Common module = bitching session. You can bitch about anything under the sun. From the people to the coursework itself. I love talking about business law. Whenever I talk to all my BAOs, every sentence is either terms or representations. Everything is about contract law. (Law of Agency) Today, as a principal, I (Denning BAO) recruited 2 agents, BAO Yingying and BAO Yanling. Thanks for offering to be my agents. Although it will be some time before both of you start performing your obligations, I have conferred upon the two of you the expressed authority to contract with the 3rd parties. Once again you're talking about work. But the difference here is the humor and fun element which cannot be appreciated by other people. Tell this to any other friend, they'll say you're NUTS.

One thing for sure. I'll throw all my e dollars just to bid for any Loo Wee Ling's law class. On top of that, I have decided to be a freak and finish up Roger Halson's Contract Law textbook. Whahaha

I know someone who loves yami yogurt so much that she almost went broke eating tubs of them.

I have heard of many who tell me how yummy yami yogurt is.

I don't really eat yogurt. I don't remember when was the last time I've eaten a yogurt. Yami yogurt natural flavour tasted like lime icecream. I should not have added raisins to make it even more sour. I think it will taste good with kellog's frosties corn flakes, crushed oreo cookies and peanuts. My business law group is the best. I'm so glad that I get to blog about the success of my business law presentation on my 100th post. Haha. I screwed up the Q and A session because of my slow thinking. It doesn't matter. Its only my first presentation in SMU. Quite a smashing virgin attempt. Haha. Presentations are so fun. Oh well, I love talking to people. Q and A certainly sucks. I need to upgrade the synapses in my brain.

Once again, I tightened my braces. Doc says my teeth is very crooked therefore 9 more months before she can close the 4 lobangs. Arhh... Like women having pms once a month, this tightening of braces thingy is a once a month suffering as well. Gosh, the bite certainly hurts. I would rather go for tooth extraction than to go for tightening. When you extract your tooth, only 1 area is affected. When I tighten my braces, my entire mouth hurts.

Pain is never the issue. The issue is with the food. The kopitiam in SMU and the eateries around the school do not have any stalls which sells porridge. This certainly sucks big time. Why only porridge??? Simply because I cannot even chew. The moment I bite, the pain comes. This is sick. I have to travel all the way to Sunshine plaza to have a decent meal. Worst, during desperate moments today, I had to go to Plaza Singapura Crystal Jade get a fix. $8 porridge!!! Arhh... On top of that, 1 pathetic meal a day. This is killing me.

My daughter had problem with this Maths question, and from details given, may not be solvable. Anyone can help solve? I remember a couple of years back, there was an unsolvable question too.

From what she can recall, something like:

6/14 of chairs in hall are in rows of 13.

1/2 of chairs are in rows of 7.

There are 112 more chairs in rows of 7

Balance of chairs are stacked up.

What is total number of chairs?

I don't know the syllabus, but Simultaneous Equations were taught in Sec.2 for 14 yr olds more than 20 years ago. Not really surprising if they now want 12 yr olds to learn this for PSLE, although I can't imagine the damage on pri. 6 students minds, particularly those who can't think math.

Also, the question here was provided by someone's daughter, who might not have remembered all the figures correctly. We don't really know if this is what appeared in the exam paper.

Once again the Transformers have proven why they are the better teams around. We don't have a lot of skillful players. We only know how to enjoy ourselves on the pitch. This chill and slack attitude unleashed the potential in everyone. Somehow, we look formidable on the field. Amidst all the competitive floorball players, we emerged a respectable Fourth.

Evil Decepticons held the fort before the good old people from Autobots came to sweep up the final glory.

The best part of the sports fiesta was when I wrestled with that bull for a good 22 seconds.

Finally, I completed my 2000 words BGS essay.

I am such an idiot. I heard my prof’s instructions wrongly and missed my chance to get my first A in SMU. This sucks big time. That was one big miscommunication. My essay was clear. I had a good argument that was well supported with evidence. I had pretty good ideas. But I exceeded the page count. Damn! Gosh even prof thinks it was a waste.

Prof Loh, I don’t care about the grade. I just don’t want to see you again next year. Now, at least I knew I had some talent in writing. My English isn’t worth a C6 afterall. That was so pathetic. It was as if I couldn’t even read or write proper English.

This is life. You get stronger with every failure. You just need to learn how to pick yourself up.

I had a surprise in frujCh today. I was trying to finish up my BGS essay for submission, when I met Jieying, Sherilyn and their friends, Sarah and Zao Yi. They’re really funny people. While they had fun, I was struggling to edit my essay. School is fun because there always always people who make you smile and laugh.

Now is the time for a food review. Today was the first time I go frujCh for a quick bite.

I am addicted to this Oreo Milkshake. It tastes great. The only thing bad about this drink is that it does not have enough Oreo biscuit bits!

Chicken ham sandwich. Not too bad. Ruffles does go well with sandwiches.

Friday night's not so lonely afterall. Went to town with the girls afters submitting my essay. Girl's stuff are really cheap. That is provided you buy at Fareast or Bugis. $10 - $20. No wonder they can go for retail therapy so often. I think I can buy 1 T-shirt everyday. lol.

My body shape does not change much, so clothes which I have bought over the last 6 years have accumulated in my wardrobe. I think I've got enough shirts to last me for 3 weeks. My wardrobe is bursting with clothes and mum has slapped a ban on me.

I don't go retail therapy often. I simply enjoy window shopping and spotting the latest fashion trends. Whenever I spend, its definitely going to burn a super big hole in my pocket.

I have to buy a sofa for my room. Crap...no money for any clothes too...

Its quite fun listening to girls gossiping. Ha. Definitely more interesting than the usual guy's talk. Their stories are dramatic, silly and humorous.

I don't know why, but things are bound to happen to my friends whenever I see them. They'll do something silly, or some things happens and made them look that way. Gosh, I just can't stop laughing for the past few weeks.

Laughing is good. Laughing strengthens your facial muscles and makes you look youthful. When you're old, you'll have less wrinkles and your cheeks will not sag. On top of that laughing strengthens your core muscle group. When you laugh, your core muscle tightens. This is good workout for killer abs.

I was lost for words this morning.

A 88cm long SAR 21 assault rifle can actually go unnoticed in Orchard Road. I wonder if Singaporeans are blind or what... I bet all of you thought that was a dummy rifle that looked so real. Oh yes, it was pathetic. The entire class did not read what they are supposed to read. In the end, the prof had to resort to doing a critique on a essay which is about this fat girl who doesn't fit in the society.

I commented that it was really stupid doing critiques out of essays on personal experiences. Even the prof agreed with me. In the end, she took up my suggestion of practicing doing critiques on a few selected paragraphs of an academic writing.

Sometimes, people are just full of shit. They don't know what they are talking. They don't even know if what they say makes sense. The worst of all are people who talk for the sake of talking. I am really amazed by people's crapping skills.

Sometimes, some people deserves to be "shot" so that they will shut up for good.

Other than shopping, eating and watching fireworks at Marina Bay Area, Singaporeans also love to go IT shows. Every quarterly, without fail, half of the population will turn up to grab the best bargains at Suntec City

Although I dislike the crowd, I still go for the shows time and time. I always have this urge to check out the latest tech products.

My timetable looks slack. Only 3 times a day.

This is the 2nd week of school. I am adapting well. I just need to improve my time management so that I can complete all my assignments, projects and do the things I like to do. There are 2 movies I want to watch!!! Ratatouille and Evan Almighty!

Its hard coordinating and arranging meet up times with project team mates. Due to the nature of the year 1 timetable, all my classmates comes from different schools. When everyone has a different timetable, its so hard finding a common meet up time. 4 modules = 4 projects = 16 different teams members = 15 different timetables. Why 15? Because I am lucky enough to find 1 team member who has the EXACT timetable as I do. I guess all my Saturday and Sundays are burnt.

Its alright. Studying is still a lot better than my days spent in Lim Chu Kang. I need to learn how to take control rather than let the environment control me. Its a damn tough skill to acquire...

I went for the photo editing course organised by AsoC today. The course is quite useful... I have had some experience using Photoshop, so I don't find the course that interesting. I think next week's course on video editing will appeal more to me.

Ok, enough of all the sob stories. Time for happy stories. My SMUX group met up for lunch at Manhattan yesterday. Lets start with the food.

Baked Fish with Herbs

Manhattan is another spawn of Fish and Co. The food is just so so. I ate baked fish with herbs and chips. It was quite a good choice because it isn't as oily as the Original Fish and Chips. The Original Fish and Chips tasted quite bad. The chips are good. Very tasty. Haha.

For the price and quality, I will not go back for a second time. I still prefer Fisherman's Wharf's Fish and Chips.

I was quite emo this morning. Today is my grandmother's 2nd year death anniversary. Tears just rolled down my eyes when I offered the incense. I just couldn't help it.

2 years ago I was devastated when I know that my grandmother had passed away. At that point in time, I was halfway through exercise NUTCRACKER in SISPEC. I only knew about it a day after she was gone. Sometimes Army is just full of shit. I cannot believe that they refused to break the news to me the moment they knew about it.

3 days before my grandmother passed away, grandma told me that she was feeling very tired, cannot make it already. I knew that something was wrong. I asked her to stopped what she was doing and go rest. It was not enough...... If only I had done something more. This would not have happened.

This is life. People just come and go. If you always take things for granted, you will regret it when they are gone. So treasure all the people who are around you...

First Day of School

I don't like going to lessons not knowing anybody in the class. It feels so lonely.

Day 1 has been kind to me. Eugene is in my Analytical Skills class. Crystal, Iman and Yi Heng are in my Statistics class. Eugene is my project team mate. Haha. I am so lucky! Seeing familiar faces makes me happy. Knowing more people makes life easier. When in doubt, you can always try to ask them for help. At least there is a chance of having people to lend you a helping hand.

Other than those in my class, who else did I see today? Shi Qi, Samuel, Yu Wen, Cindy, Kryser??, Nicholas, Amelia (girl in HOT orange), Weiyang aka Earthworm and Qin Lei. Qin Lei looked so cute sleeping on the MRT. Her head swinging to and fro like an inverted pendulum. Haha. Quite unglam. Opps.

Textbooks are piling up on my table. I am glad that I managed to grab a 2nd hand statistics textbooks for only $15. Old textbooks are good. There are plenty of "treasures" in them.

I am very sure the previous owner is a girl. Look at those neat red tabs! Thanks for taking good care of this book! I'm going to repackage it and sell for $20. This will earn me a neat profit of $5. Not too bad. Haha.

I am loving my X61 more with each passing day. I'll feel so lost without you, so you better not crash on me. Perhaps I should give you a name... SOMEONE suggest TARD. No way am I going use this reTARDED name. Haha :P

Convocation 2007

Finally, convocation is over. That means school is going to start in 3 days time.

The start of any new school term is always frightening. You have to find out your timetable, get new textbooks, read up for lectures etc. Finding out what to do is not the problem. The problem comes when you don't even know you need to get some things done. Nobody's going to spoon feed you. You are on YOUR OWN. This is fun. More adventures and mishaps await me. I just have to pray that I am good enough to "siam" all these nonsense.

I was quite disappointed that I could not have dinner with my FTB team mates. Almost everyone has got something on. Crap. Next time, we must send out CALL, SMS and EMAIL for triple confirmation. We must also make sure that everyone eats. Not just sit there stone and watch others eat. Lastly, everyone must be booked a month in advance. Haha. This is ridiculous.

Yes I was suffering some food cravings after convocation. I just had to get my fix and Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao. It has been long since I ate their black fungus fried La Mian.

I've always got a wierd way of eating Xiao Long Baos. I will always finish the XLB skin and dump the rest of the ingredient in the spoon. Next, I will finish the meat without the soup. Lastly, I'll drink the essence of the Xiao Long Bao. Woot!

Damn, it was quite pathetic eating alone and watching the rest of the SMU people having fun with their own groups.

The serving of fried noodles was larger than the norm. I took too long a time to finish the noodles. As a result, the XLB became dry. I should have asked them to serve me the XLB after finishing my noodles. It was a bad move on my part.

They have got some new Xiao Long Baos on the menu. I gonna try their hotplate XLB some day

I know how to enjoy life. I will do everything that is within my means and limits to get myself comfortable. I don't know when I am going to die. Tomorrow? Next week? 20 years later? 60 years later? God knows. I just don't want to die with regrets, especially to die missing out on all my favourite delicacies. :P

MiRAGE

My sports camp group is ranked no 1 when it comes to cam whoring. A total of 500++ video and pictures was taken over this 3 day camp. 1Gb of memory has been used.

Other than that, this group has the most number of "green lights". Haha.

I did the most silly things in this camp. The group performed plenty weird cheers and dances in the open public. Only in groups then you will be able to pick up the courage to do these stuff. All these were done for the love, fun, joy and laughter.

This is a bonus camp for me. I did not sign up for SMUX until the very last minute. You can say that I was a last minute insertion into the group. Thanks for giving me the chance for this extra fun before I kickstart life in SMU!

Most importantly, I tried sports which I have never tried before in my entire life - Diving, iceskating and roller blading. No words can describe how I feel when I bladed. Frightening? Exciting? Thrilling? Everything.

I was having a hard time balancing on the ice. It was not easy posing for the camera in the rink.

What a fantastic night. My morale is high now after the brilliant Liverpool win over Aston Villa. The last minute superb freekick from Steven Gerald sealed victory for the Reds. I finished setting math test paper for Jeslene and now I am in the mood to blog. It's Sunday Morning 4am.

I know it has been quite some time since I blog. I would love to, but I can't. My tooth extraction on Friday simply hurts too much. To all those people who may be going for tooth extractions: The extraction itself does not even hurt a single bit. The pain comes only after the local anesthetic starts to wear off.

For the past 2 days, I have been sleeping with the help of 2 panadol pills.

Thursday ( D-Day -1)
I had National Day dinner at Hog's Breath in ViVo City. This resturant specializes in preparing steaks. The ironic thing is, I do not eat beef at all. Haha. Fortunately, there are non-beef items on the menu.

I had 2 teeth extracted 3 days before this. I'm amazed that I could finish the entire plate even though I took a really long time.

The Fish and Chips are good. However I find that they are too stingy with the serving. Only 3 small pieces.

Despite the pain, I overcame all odds to have a meal at Crystal Jade Jurong Point. The food is good. However the service at Crystal Jade Jurong Point Sucks BIG TIME.

I am not a person who is very particular about service. I'm easily satisfied. However, when a very 隋便 person starts to complain, you know something is really wrong.

I cannot imagine a resturant like Crystal Jade would not have soviets to provide for their customers. That idiotic staff could actually retort us and tell us to wipe our dirty fingers on the wall. What the hell! He claimed that there's nothing he could do. Any problems, he could always refer us to his manager. *BISH* I was flabbergasted by his reply. Having worked in the service industry, I knew this was not the way to treat your customers. The employment of this staff is simply a waste of rescources for Crystal Jade. He is not proactive. He is not sensitive. He's a PoS. I would have sacked him right away if I was the boss. Sorry, your attitude just irks me.

Dolphins Gone Forever

Its really a sad day. Given the level of technology and advancements we have, we should have been able to protect this animal. However, the truth is we can't. The people cannot be bothered. They just cared about making the most money out of the river. River of life??? I bet its going to become river of death in the near future.

I just cannot imagine a giant vertebrate like this can become extinct without anybody knowing. This is ridiculous. 30, 40 years ago, the river had been teaming with these creatures, and now you don't see any. Isn't that an obvious enough hint that they have gone missing?

I remembered blogging last year about future generations having to look at pictures of tigers because they go extinct. Something similar has happened. I did not expect it to come so early. However, I believe this marks only the start of a series of extinction. This is only the tip of the iceberg. The phenomenal growth of China has brought about serious pollution to the environment, which destroys the habitat of many creatures. Increasing affluence also increases the demand for animals valued for their "medicinal properties". Increase in demand for animals will help the illegal poaching and animal trading trade to flourish. If this continues, expect more of these news to appear.

21st Birthday Eve Dinner

In a few hours time, I will be celebrating my 21st birthday. Looking back at the past 20 years, I really feel grateful for what my family has done for me. All the pain and suffering they had to go through to bring me up. Am I a fine young man now? I really hope so. Haha.

This birthday eve dinner is from me for all my loved ones. Yes, this meal more than just burnt a hole in my pocket. It "blasted" my wallet into pieces. All these doesn't matter. Their love, care and concern for me is priceless. This meal is only a small token of appreciation.

When a miser starts giving treats, all hell breaks lose. I'm not a miser, I just choose appropriate moments to be generous.

I had my fantastic birthday dinner at the reknowed Boon Lay Raja Chinese Resturant. I know the name doesn't sound as posh as Crystal Jade or Imperial, but in terms of the quality of food this restuarant is one of the better ones in Singapore. My grandma happens to know one of the owners. Thanks a lot for the discount!

I had a great time with all my sports camps friends. For the entire team to bond together, it's a kind of 缘份. Its certainly rare for a group of guai kia to band together. Most of us hate clubbing, drinking and smoking. Sorry smokers, the smoke simply turn all of us off. As a result of this affinity, we have got plenty of topics to talk about. Haha. Lets hope this friendship will last. Everyone says friends made in University are mostly Hi Bye. Well, I hope to set a precedence. Haha

2 "Transformers" did not make it for the dinner. Transformers No 1 Derrick chose to keep quiet about his appointment on the 3rd of August. He did not want us to change to dinner date because of him. Arhh... Come On... Transformers No 2 Kesh has decided to go for more action at Old Changi Hospital. I bet her fright night buddy is a hunk. Lol.

Oh well, I'm sorry. We just have to makan your share. Wahaha. Well the food is average. To me the most important thing is to meet up with all of you and enjoy the fruits of our labour. We still have one more set of $150 NYDC vouchers left to expend. I hope everyone will make good use of this opportunity have a nice meal together and go for some after dinner activities!

Eugene talked about hunky guys stripping during camps. You just have to give it to these people. They earned the right to flash their beautifully sculpted body although I find it distasteful. I do go to the gym often to maintain my less impressive 6 packs, so I know their pain. Seriously, it takes a lot of time, discipline and effort to train every muscle in the body. You have to go to the gym at least 3 times a week and watch every calorie you consume. This is certainly a torture for foodies like me.

I am so disappointed. I just don't understand why friends whom I have not met for years don't seem to be able to recognise me. This has happened for more than 5 times this year. It is as if I have undergone an extreme makeover for the past 2 years and, as a result, my face totally changed. Wenyi cannot recognise me. Siang Liang cannot recognise me. Ang Wee Howe cannot recognise me. Even my SISPEC BUDDY Nicholas Goh couldn't recognise me! This is driving my insane. Suddenly I feel like a character in the japanese anime Shakugan no Shana. In their world, anyone can just disappear. Nobody remembers you.

I went to NUS today to get my Razor DeathAdder Mouse and the free gaming mousepad that comes together with it.

NUS is a very big university. I hate going to NUS and getting myself lost in it. It feels like walking in a labyrinth and you could feel the walls closing in on you. Some places are just so secluded and eerie. You just feel extremely uncomfortable when you walk pass these corners. NUS is just a waste of space. All the long stairways and corridors make NUS appear big. Land is precious in Singapore so I would suggest they demolish the whole place and erect a new University. This will definitely make life easier for everyone in NUS. Everybody will be spared from walking up and down everyday.

I love my Shi Fu so much. She remembers my birthday and brought me on a birthday feast at Sun Moon Japanese Restaurant at Wheelock Place. Its a fantastic Japanese restaurant. The ambiance is great. My Shi Fu and I love to eat. When it comes to food, we're ruthless. We try and eat every dish to our hearts content. Shi Fu, I know this hurts your wallet but don't worry. When I graduate in 4 years time and get a good job, I'll repay you. We'll do it on a more grander scale than this.

This is just the start of the feasting for my coming birthday. I'm going to eat as much as I can before my tooth extraction on the 6th of August which is the day after my birthday. From 6th August onwards, I am going suffer. That week alone, I am going to get 4 of my tooth extracted. Its sounds scary. However all these doesn't matter. What matters most is I enjoy myself this week and play to the maximum.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers. We are just so HOT.

Is the AsoC Camp fun? Well, when it comes to the activities, I don't really think so. However, I have to say my AsoC group is totally different from my Sports Camp and FTB group. They are really brainy people and very good conversationists. We spent most of the time talking and cracking jokes. Our favourite activity has to be solving mind games. I think we've played enough of these games to compile them into a book. Thanks to the group, I believe my intelligence has improved by 10 points.

I have to admit that I really sucked in spotting all these subtle differences. I am the President of the SLOW CLUB. This explains why I'll never find a girlfriend. Most likely, I'm going to miss all the subtle hints. I only understand the OBVIOUS. Haha, I am so hopeless.

I excel in the Polar Bear game (Something like the murderer and detective game). I love playing it the most. I enjoy acting and "smoking" everyone in the game. Somehow, I am better in picking out anomalities and this helps me in analyzing people's reactions and behaviour to situations.

You can say I am lazy. After writing about the SMU Sports Camp, I have been contemplating whether to write something about the FTB. Seriously, it doesn't do justice to FTB if I don't write anything about it. So here is my brief account.

Well , I have to say I am lucky for the second time to have such a wonderful team. Hmm...this team does not have the makings of a champion like that of "Transformers". Onstart, we are already down with 2 members. Some of the members are battling with injuries/illnesses of all sorts. However all these does not matter. We are not hindered by all these disadvantages. Once again, the SexY Spartans displayed great team spirit, and went against all odds.

Most important thing of all, I made more friends. And I also found a long lost twin clone sister, Ingrid. Haha. Yeah, I'm going to miss those 2 straight nights of talk cock session. Its fun having Kesh in our team. Our Xiao Mei is always so funny and witty. You can really talk dirty :P Another interesting one would be our facilitator Amelia. A cute looking girl who always sport this damsel in distress look. Girl, you just have to admit it. You have this "Come here and bully me face". But don't worry, given your great personality, there will be plenty of prince charming around to rescue you. Lol.

SMU Sports Camp 2007

Upon request of my sweet team mate Priscilla, I've decided to write this late night blog entry for her. Girl you should feel honoured that you are the first person from the Sports camp I know. Haha. What made her so special is that she's the one who signed on my SMU certificate, officially making me a citizen of SMU.

SMU Sports camp certainly lived up to its expectations. 3 days 2 nights of fun filled activities. Seriously, I hate writing each and every single detail of the camp. I think its really dumb repeating these stuff. Anyway, a fun game isn't any fun when your team members aren't enthusiastic. Its the people who make the difference. Basically, my team exhibited great team work, sportsmanship and creativity.

Seriously, on the first impression, the team did not look very impressive. We lack the raw power (Big built and strong guys). For most of the camps I have been to, the games often strength based. Certainly, I feel my team was a bit disadvantaged. Stamina, speed and endurance are never a issue. When it comes to raw power, a lot of people can flick me off with ease. Well, never judge a book by its cover. My team did lived up to its name "Transformers - Robots in Disguise". Each and everyone of us certainly has hidden talents. Instead of raw power, brain power does most of our work.

*The first game of Judo certainly crushed my morale. That basketball player nudged me out of the mat effortlessly. $%^%#^$&^$&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;^$&^$^$#$^&$

For the amazing race, we did not even break a sweat to win in record breaking time. Thanks to our wonderful spokeswomen Meiqian and her team of gorgeous ladies, we hitched 3 rides in a day. Hitching a ride in Singapore? You must be kidding. My jaws dropped when I knew she managed to hitch a ride for the third time (A lorry all the way to the end point). Simple believable....things like this actually happen in Singapore?

Enough said, I think I am most impressed by my talents to guess the famous item Mono Lisa. Well, it was an easy game. All we had to do is to ask questions about the name of the person stuck on your forehead and guess it. Mine is not a person. She's a person in a picture. I was asking stupid questions throughout the entire game. Everyone kept giggling. (Now I know why) A stroke of genius and that made the difference. I asked the stunning question which got me the answer immediately. "Was she a lady in a picture?" I guessed I caught everyone by surprise with that question. Haha.

Transformers isn't a RAA RAA team. We are so low profile. Basically, we are small but impactful. We are like Ninjas. We kill without leaving a trace. The team is made up of like minded people. Most of us like to relax, but all performed their best during games. Most of us don't drink. Lucky for me. I hate to drink that bitter crap. If my team is made up of heavy drinkers, I would have gone drunk since I have this weakness to alcohol. Most of them don't club as well. Seriously, how often do you find people as "pathetic" as me. I work in St James, but I have only visited 2 clubs once. MOS once and the now defunct Club MoMo once.

All these doesn't matter. What matters most is that we swept away two 2nd prizes for the entire Sports Camps. $150 Cafe Cartel vouchers and $125 NYDC vouchers.

On a final note, I would like to thank beloved team mates from Transformer for giving such a wonderful experience. A smashing start to University life! Crystal, Esther, Priscillia, Kesh, Mei Qian, Desmond, Derrick, Eugene and Jasper, You people rock!

Friday the 13th is a very mysterious day. Uncountable urban myths and legends are passed down through generations speaking of all the weird occurrences on this date. What special things happened to me yesterday?

Enlistment

My brother was enlisted for army. He was sent to BMTC School 2 Taurus company. It felt nostalgic returning to such a familiar place. This dreadful Pulau Tekong is the island where I trained to become a specialist for a torturous 7 months. Every trip for book in and book out is so painful. A good 2 hours plus journey. Just imagine the joy I had when I was posted back to mainland.

Army is the rite of passage from boys to men. Well it sounds good. However I really wonder how many boys become men. I have to say that the majority who KENG and escaped hardship learnt ZERO life lessons. All they had learnt was to cheat and escape from reality. Well, you can say they are smart and exploited the flaws in the system. But just how these people can go in life. Escaping is never a solution. Life is going to catch up on you and torment you. Not everyday is Sunday.

In Tekong, I met my 2SIR PC. LT Jay is now officially CPT JAY. He is the officer commanding of School 1 Jaguar Company. The strangest thing that could happen is that my brother's Company Sergeant Major was my CSM 2 years ago when I was a recruit. What coincidence!

St James

Friday the 13 was the most happening day in these 5 months I have worked. It was so dramatic, akin to watching a Taiwanese drama serial. All the fighting, cursing and swearing in the high class gallery bar. A happy reunion turned... The twist of events was so sudden that I couldn't comprehend what happened. The friend who was chased away was the one who spent lavishly on the girls. St James's top security had to come in break apart the rowdy crowd. Should they come a minute later, the first fight in gallery would break up. To be exact, a cat and dog fight.

Eventually the group broke up and all was that was left were broken glasses, torned vouchers, bottle cards and a voluptuous lady sprawling on the ground helplessly. She was one of the customers I served. She actually got so drunk that she ended up in a state of demonic possession. For the next 2 hours, she tucked herself into the trash bags and slept on the gallery floor. Occasionally, she will go into fits, screaming nonsense and crying. It was a sickly sight. She totally lost it.

The next hour was an reenactment of the movie Exorcist. Her eyes rolled up and all that was seen was white. She swing her head around like a mad women, vomit spilling out from the side of her mouth. Her weak husband was no match for her constant struggle. She threw her limbs all over the place, hurting everyone within a 1m radius. She screamed for help, screamed for her own death. Soon, she was knocking her head on the edges of the table and the steel button stool. I have never seen anybody so drunk, to the extent of seeking death. It was a horrifying sight watching this lump of meat crawling on the floor.

It had taken too long to move her away. Eventually, it was time was all of us to go home. That was not the end of everything.

Public shitting

A sick bastard server from Powerhouse got so drunk that he began vomitting and shitting all over the locker area in St James Power Station. This has to be one of the most horrendous thing I have ever seen in my entire life.

He sat at one of the side tables near lockers 240++, with his head glued to the table and hand swinging mid air in a pendulum motion. Vomit flow out from his mouth and you just cannot imagine how a face would look like with that sticky shit. Every few minute, he would clear his throat by spitting his vomit. Yeah, he's literally drowning in his own vomit.

This guy even lost control of his anus. God knows what he is thinking. He passed motion all over the locker area!!! The most shocking thing was that his faeces were at least shoulder height! He must have cleaned his backside with his hand, and conveniently rubbed those crap on the walls! I could not hold my breathe. The stench infiltrated my nostrils and started polluting my brains.
What a night...

I'm so jealous. Jealous of all my friends who have gone for their university orientations. I still need to wait one more week before my SMU orientation starts. It certainly sucks to know that none of my secondary school pals are heading to SMU. I am feeling lonely, having no sense of security. Its certainly frightening taking the first step out to a place no one wants to go. Its time I learn to be independent and explore what's ahead of me.

St James
The time has come. When I first interviewed for the job, I told Kelly that I am going to quit after August. After working for close to half a year at St James, I feel that its really hard to leave. This is what I gonna do. When school starts, I am going to work once a week. If I cannot handle my schoolwork, I will be out of action until the school holiday comes. For my job, the pay is really pathetic. I'm still working because of my colleagues and my regulars. For me, it doesn't hurt to quit because of monetary reasons. It certainly hurts to lose the rapport which I have built with my regulars over the past half a year.

I am having some problems with my captain at St James. I understand your concerns. Sometimes it just can't be helped. I love talking to my guests. If its their first time patronising St James, all the more I will try to help them settle and make them feel like "home". Come on, the whole section is not going to crash and burn just because I took a slightly longer time PRing and explaining. It is not as if I am the only one working and all else will fail just because I spent more time using my mouth rather than my hands.

My motivation is waning. I hope things will change for the better when Gallery bar gets renovated.

Work's a bit different without Bernard around. As much as I miss you now, I still won't change my mind that you should go to London. :P

After 4 days of troubleshooting, my internet connection is back up. Root of all these problems, bad linkage between my telephone line and Singnet. When there is a bad linkage, there is nothing one could do, except to wait for the Singnet people to reset your line. What causes these bad linkages? Old wirings...

I had a great mahjong session last week with Rhoda and Nanping. It was a 三一缺 but the game still went on. It was enjoyable playing with slow and easy people. No stress. Since the both of you like to relax and chill, I guess next time we should go Villa Bali, Settler's cafe or the bars at Dempsey road.

I have to admit that I have a greater affinity with the ladies in my JC class than the guys. Perhaps its because I like hearing them whine. All the thrills, frills and scandals from their university and internship. They're making me excited about my life in the coming months. University life seemed to have made the both of you stronger.

Yesterday was the last BnG Sunday Night out with Bernard. Many thanks to Omar who made a total of 11 reservations, of which, only the faithful 4 turned up. All of you pang seh kia, you know who you are!!!

Its really cool to pay $5 and watch movie in this cosy little space at Pitch Black. With only 20 odd people in the room, the atmosphere is different compared to watching movie with hundreds of people in a cinema. You get personalised service as well. You can place your orders at any point during the movie screening and the friendly servers will deliver them to you. Ever since I put on temporary braces 3 days ago, I haven had a decent meal. I was quite disappointed that I could not try the movie snacks. I can only watch and hear the trio happily munching the food away. Arhhh!!!

Don't expect them to screen Fantastic 4 or Spiderman 3. That is not the way it should be. The movies shown here have more artistic and educational value compared to those thrash movies we have been watching out there. Yes, no doubt these movies have fantastic special effects, but the storyline is really weak. There is plenty of lame humour which I find redundant. I couldn't help but think of it this way - the recipe for a high grossing movie is sequel + special effects + lame humour. I really hope the much hyped Transformers don't turn out this way.

Just how many of you have friends since Primary School or even kindergarten. I guess I am one of the few who have such friends. For god knows when,we played together, studied together, excelled together and went to the same schools together. How amazing. We saw one another grow and now we are 21, young adults. Time flies. For everything which had happened over the past 20 years, all seemed like yesterday.

Eating has never been so difficult and tedious. For every bite I take, all I could feel was numbness and pain. Should I chew anything harder than maggi mee, my teeth would just shatter and fall apart. Life has never been so miserable. Swedagon Pagoda

Swedagon Pagoda is the most important landmark in Myanmar. It is the home to 4 buddha relics- Buddha's hair, alms bowl, walking stick and robe. Interestingly, nobody has seen these 4 buddha relics. There have been buried underneath the pagoda for over 2000 years. Only people who went into deep meditation claimed to have seen the relics. Hence, for a Buddhist country, the Swedagon pagoda is most representative of their culture and religion.

Among all the pagodas I have seen, Swedagon is the most gorgeous. Unlike other pagodas which are gold leaf plated or gold painted, she is gold plated. Imagine a pagoda over 300 feet in height and every inch of it covered by real solid gold. Under the orange spotlights, Swedagon illuminates in glowing yellow. It was a spectacular sight. When driving along the highway, the beautiful Swedagon shines like a golden beacon and brightens up the night sky. At the top of Swedagon is home to a 76 carat diamond which is the most befitting jewel for this alluring one.

The glorious Swedagon Pagoda is a complete contrast to the streets of Myanmar. The land, this magnificent architecture is housed in, is one of the poorest countries in the world. The people live in severe poverty. Most of the people earn less than 50 US dollars a month. They could barely feed for themselves, let alone buy comfort items. The place is littered with packets of beggars. Amidst the poor, an organisation which feeds upon the compassion of people thrives. Babies are being rented for 1000 to 2000 khats and they are used as tools for begging. To the people, the Swedagon Pagoda is a pillar of strength, a beacon of hope for a better tomorrow.

The visit to Myanmar has been a very enriching experience. It is known as the "Land of the Golden Pagodas". Pagodas of various shapes and sizes are scattered all over the country. There are so many buddha statues that I practically lost count. I tried to learn the Myanmar language, but to no avail. The way they speak is very much like Tamil. The tongue twisting and accent made it difficult to grasp the language. Nevertheless, there are some phrases every tourist should learn.

It has been a long time since I've updated my blog. I am busy mugging English language these 2 weeks. I am fortunate to have a hilarious and anti PAP American as my English language teacher. Lessons get boring with all those grammer exercises. I have to relearn all the fundamental grammar rules like past tence, present tense, past perfect, present perfect, past/present continuous, past/perfect contiunous etc. There's simply too much rules and conditions to memorise.

Thanks to my shi fu, I get to enjoy excellent japanese food at Waruka! The only thing bad about Waruka is its location. It is located at a quiet corner in Marina Square. Hardly anyone goes there. People go there for Waruka!

1) Smartphone - One that allows me to surf the internet and update my favourite Google calendar on the Go. At the moment, only n95 fits the bill. However that phone design is freaking ugly, unlike its predecessor the n80. What a disappointment. Nokia you can do better than than.

Its a bit pathetic that as a Liverpool fan for close to 10 years, I don't have a single Liverpool jersey.

3) Canon i75

I need a camera with anti shock capabilities. Nobody knows how to use my ancient Sony P100 for God knows what reasons. Sony has this redundant half click autofocus capabilities which most people know nuts about using. Memorable moments of me with my family and friends often turn out blurry. Totally pisses me OFF. Thats why cameras today are so idiot proof. There is no need for manual autofocus. Just press and you'll get what you want.

Aftermath of wisdom Operation.

It was a frightening experience having to go under the knives to remove my wisdom teeth. The roar of the drill and the constant digging at the back of my mouth made my hair stand. Luckily, my surgeon was fast and furious. He removed 2 of them in 30 minutes. No pain, no swelling, no complications. I could talk the moment I removed the gauze from my mouth 2 hours after the operation. It was worth my every cent. I am able to eat my favourite sweet peanuts and candies 1 day after the operation. I just could not imagine myself having to eat porridge and semi solid stuff over 3 days like many said. Its a torture for a foodie. I even managed to chew some pork slices today! Horray Its tedious eating meat because my gums are still weak and its really tiring to chew (not because of any pain). The worst thing is to play with my tongue and try to "dig" for food particles trapped in the stitches. Given my speedy recovery, I hope to return to St James on Friday or Saturday to "slam" together with my buddies.
