The Worst Toilet Design In Singapore

Went to Sentosa with my St James collegues and came upon this "fantastic" toilet/shower area.

This is the toilet in question. This is how it looks outside. Lets have a view from the inside.

Well, we didn't know that we will be so vulnerable. In the end, beachgoers at the tram station had an eye candy! Haha. With this kind of toilet design, Singapore is right on track to become a country of free expression.

I had my breakfast at Habourfront Centre Mac Donald's and I tried the new breakfast item. The bagel burger.

It was a disappointment. As usual the food was edible. I don't mind having ham and eggs, but eating fried onions is totally off. This is a very weird combination. The bread was hard and the stupid bagel burger had got holes like a doughnut on both sides. So what's the use of putting sauce???

CARL'S JUNIOR

I had my dinner at ViVo City Carl's Junior. I have never been to a Carl's Junior outlet. Before this trip, I've heard raving comments about this fast food chain. So does Carl Junior live up to the hype?

I order a bacon and charbroiled chicken burger combo meal.



Well I don't really like the package. Its sucks. Lacks creativity. So confusing. It's really hard finding the correct burger when you have many different burger orders.

The burgers are oversized. I strongly adcise everyone to eat the smallest burger or share the meal with someone else. I had a hard time devouring this giant burger. Lets see a hand to burger comparison.



Crunchy lettuce. Think chicken thigh and 2 pathetic strips of bacon. The burger is VERY filling. However nothing spectacular in terms of taste.

I am most impressed with the giant onion rings. They come in all shapes and sizes. They are unlike those onion rings found in standard packages that comes in the same sizes. Hence I believe these onions rings are made from freshly chopped onions. Delicious.

Organic Vegetarian Food

Went to Temple Street yesterday. The guan yin temple was really crowded because the temple gave out good luck red packets. Lets go straight to the point. Beside the Guan Yin Temple is Fortune Centre. This place houses a lot of vegetarian food stalls. Upon recommendation from one of my friends, I have decided to drop by the place a pay this stall a visit. This organic vegatarian food stall, resides in one secluded corner on the 4th level of Fortune centre. It slipped off my mind that I had to take shot of the stall. Sorry guys.

Yummy Claypot Herbal Noodles





This herbal claypot noodles tastes a lot like bah kut teh. The only difference being, this is totally vegetarian. Organic.

Pumpkin Curry Pau







Delicious curry pumpkin filling wrapped in wholemeal bread. I never knew pumpkin would taste so much like potatoes.

These days I am very much into vegetarian food as well. Organic food is free of pesticides. It is worth paying a premium because these foods are very healthy Organic vegetarian food can help preserve a person's youth and vitality.

The ABC drink



What is ABC. This fruit drink is a mixture of Apple juice, Beet Root Juice and Carrot Juice.

Most of you should know the health benefits of Apple and Carrot Juice given the popularity of Pokka Carrot Fruit Juice. Hmm....for beet root. This is what I find out from wiki

Today the beetroot is still championed as a cureall. One of the most controversial examples is the official position of the South African Health Minister on the treatment of AIDS. Dr Manto Tshabalala-Msimang, Health Minister under Thabo Mbeki, has been nicknamed 'Dr Beetroot' for promoting beets and other vegetables over anti-retroviral AIDS medicines, which she considers toxic.

Beetroots are rich in the nutrient Betaine. Betaine supplements, manufactured as a byproduct of sugar beet processing, are prescribed to lower potentially toxic levels of homocysteine (Hcy), a naturally occurring amino acid that can be harmful to blood vessels thereby contributing to the development of heart disease, stroke, and peripheral vascular disease.

Venti Ice Blended Chocolate Chip from Starbucks. This is the only drink I would buy from Starbucks. Got it at the $5 discount. Thanks to the voucher I won from a draw after buying my Samsung LCD monitor.

Doughnut Factory at Raffles City

Went to Raffles City to run an errand. Passed by dough nut factory at the basement of Raffles City and saw this ridiculously long queue. I believe it is a new establishment in Singapore, doughnut factory's first franchise in Singapore. They offered an assortment of flavours including flavours that would please local tastebuds. Eg: Kaya white chocolate. There's even cheese coated doughnuts.



The stall was not opened for operations. But look at the queue...

I had lunch in one of the Japanese food outlets in Raffles City. I ate this.



Unfortunately, I had this bad habit of eating the food before I remembered to take a snapshot of it. Sorry guys. Well the display was attractive and pleasing to the eye. However the portions are patheically small. The unagi in the unagi don is so small!!! I tried to recreate the actual size of the rice in yellow for you to compare. Nothing fantastic about this shop. The food is really average. I believe I can cook Tonkatsu of a comparable standard or better. Taste normal, edible. Hence it is not worth paying a premium to eat in this particular stall.

翡翠快餐

Went to 翡翠快餐 at Wisma Atria for a quick fix. Bought a variety of snacks at $1++ each.



Glutinous rice, Thai Style Beabcurd, BBQ pork pastry and the carrot cake



There isn't enough beancurd in the filling. All I tasted were vegetable shreds. Quite a disappointment. The best had to be the BBQ pork pastry. Crispy and sweet on the outside, succulent BBQ pork in the inside. Yummy





Generally, snacks tasted good, very rich in ingredients. However the food would have been better if they are hot and fresh from the oven. The snacks stayed in the display counter for too long. Furthermore, how can they display food in a counter that does not have any heating capabilities. Bewilders me.
